Delete your CineShelf account

You can permanently delete your CineShelf account and its data at any time.
There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 — Delete it yourself in the app (fastest)
- Open CineShelf.
- Go to Profile → Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm that you want to delete the account permanently.
- Confirm your identity when prompted (enter your password, or re-confirm
with Google if you signed in with Google).
Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email
coding.with.hadi@gmail.com from the email
address associated with your CineShelf account, with the subject
“Delete my CineShelf account”.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and delete the
account. Requests are handled within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your account and sign-in credentials.
- Your public profile, display name, and your reserved username.
- Your movie and TV library, including favourites, watch later, watched,
and owned titles.
- Your game library, including favourites, wishlist, played, and owned games.
- Your personal ratings, recommendations, and private reviews and comments.
- Custom movies you created.
- Your friend connections, and any pending friend requests you sent or
received.
- Your notifications and your blocked-users list.
- Any library sections you had shared with friends or made public.
Nothing from the list above is kept after deletion, and none of it can be
restored.
What is not stored or not deleted
- CineShelf does not sell your data and does not share your library with
advertisers.
- Movie, TV, and game catalogue information (titles, artwork, descriptions)
comes from third-party providers (TMDB and IGDB) and is not personal data —
it is not affected by deleting your account.
- Deleted data may persist briefly in encrypted infrastructure backups before
being overwritten in the normal backup rotation. It is not accessible in the
app or to other users during that time.
